Behind my simple Logo
I’m sure some of you may have noticed a logo on top of this page and as browser icon. Here I will briefly explain my rationale behind this logo. Before that, I’m quite pleased with the outcome even though it’s clearly very simple, given that I don’t have the skill to create a better one with an image editor out there, such as Adobe Photoshop.
Adobe Photoshop is a commercial product and not my preference as this won’t be my frequent tool, so I look around for a free and good enough image editor, simply because I wish to have my own logo displayed on my blog. So I found one called GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). Unlike the pre-installed Microsoft Paint, GIMP has some cool features and useful filtering tools, almost similar to the commercial Adobe Photoshop.
Anyway, the logo mainly represents my personal attributes.
Shape
Circle represents my character as a perfectionist who consistently tries to evolve with life by learning to adapt with the ever-changing circumstances.
Color
Blue represents my cautious approach with my decision and to deal with difficult situation calmly.
White was chosen from the Alba font which was used to draw my initial (JLo) in the circle. “Alba” comes from the Latin “albus” meaning white. White colour is said to represent degree of excellence.
